Sharpie | Diary

This was created at Superfad as a part of a series of spots for Sharpie. The close-ups of the pen were shot using a giant CNC plotter type machine. The drawings were programmed into the machine and the camera was attached to the area near the pen. The rest of the animation was created using a process where a base 3d animation was drawn over and embellished frame by frame.
